I am a pre-final year student. Recently Goldman Sachs visited my campus and was open for all branches, without any GPA criteria. They were hiring interns as Summer Analysts for the summer of 2023.
First Round: First round was a coding round of 1 hour and 50 minutes with four sections.
Around 40 students were shortlisted from the coding round.
Interview 1: Interviews were conducted on zoom and a code pair link was shared. First, the interviewer asked me to introduce myself. Then she asked Next smaller palindrome. Then she asked me the difference between the file system and DBMS.
Interview 2: She asked brief description of my projects and the tech stacks I have used. Then gave me a question named Missing number. The second question was to find the First missing positive(she asked me to do this in linear time and constant space).
Interview 3: This was also a technical interview. He first asked me about my projects. Then asked me to list all the data structures that I know. He then asked about the ways to represent graphs and the advantage of using an adjacency list.
Then he asked a question on BST https://leetcode.com/problems/minimum-absolute-difference-in-bst/.
Further, he asked me to validate sudoku (checking a particular index should be done in just one iteration not in three for loops).
Then he asked a few questions on OOP and DBMS with some basic queries.
